- Symmetry: Seek out scenes that offer a balanced, mirror-like reflection on either side. This could be a building’s facade, a calm lake, or a perfectly centered path.
- Rule of Thirds: Imagine your frame divided into nine equal segments by two vertical and two horizontal lines. Now, place your main subject at one of the intersections of these lines.
- Negative Space: Use empty space in your frame to emphasize your subject. This could be a lone tree against a clear sky or a single bird flying across an expansive horizon.
